Meet The Teacher Day

On Friday, September 3 the teachers will be in their classrooms from 9:00am – 12:00pm to meet anyone who would like to drop in to talk with her.   Feel free to come alone or with your child to take a few minutes to meet the teacher and ask any questions you may have about the upcoming school year.

Parent-Teacher Fellowship

Our Parent-Teacher Fellowship (PTF) is a great way for you to get involved here at HTP.  The purpose of this group is to lend support and encouragement to HTP families and staff.  Participation for PTF is as little or as much as your schedule will allow so we encourage all parents to be a member.  We are looking for at least one parent to represent each class as the main contact person for the teacher and PTF leader.  The PTF will be hosting a meeting early in the school year to discuss all the upcoming events as well as connecting the teachers with their “room parent representative” and the teachers would like to plan some fun classroom activities with their PTF members.  If you would like to be part of our PTF or would like more information, email Jennifer Davidson at jennifer@harbortrinity.org or call the school office as soon as you are able so that we can connect you with our fabulous PTF leader, Agnes Yurada!

Dates to Remember

September 3rd  - Meet the Teacher 9:00am to 12:00pm

September 14th - Bounce house

September 29th - Puppy Party

October 24th – Preschool Sunday

Preschool Sunday

This fun event will be on Sunday October 24th. The students will be performing a few songs in front of the church during the 10 a.m. service.  Please arrive by 9:30 to give the kids a chance to practice one more time.

Our Sponsor Child – Witonzi James

Last year we adopted Witonzi James who is now 11yrs old and from Uganda, Africa.  We will be sending him a monthly support of $30.  Our students will be involved by writing letters, drawing pictures and raising support for him.  We collect offerings for Witonzi during chapel time. This is a great opportunity for HTP students to learn about others in our world who don’t have as much as we do and being cheerful about giving to help them. We encourage you and your children to support him by praying for him and bringing in any spare change you may have on our chapel days. We will keep you informed of his progress and post letters from him throughout the school year. Remember to check out our bulletin board for Witonzi’s latest letter.  One of the church members of Harbor Trinity just recently purchased a cow for his family!  These pictures are posted on our board for you to see.

Student Arrivals and Pick Up

Student “drop off” time is between 7:15am and 8:45am.  The morning teacher arrives earlier to open the school and cannot receive any students in the classroom until 7:15 so if you should arrive a few minutes early, please wait until the teacher arrives to the room before you leave.

We encourage all those who come to pick up your children (including moms and dads) to bring their photo I.D.  We will continue to ask to see the I.D.’s until we get to know those who are authorized to pick up your children.

Please remember to sign your child in and out and check his/her classroom folder daily for communication from your child’s teacher or the school office.

Please also remember to notify the teachers that you are leaving with your child, a simple wave goodbye will do.

Important Safety Notice

Please make sure that whomever drops off/picks up your child to/from school holds their hand as they exit the gate and walk through the parking lot.  Remember, only adults are to open the school gate.  Also for the safety of the students, we discourage them from walking on the stairs in the courtyard near the classrooms.

Please be sure that your child wears shoes that are completely closed around the sides.  Crocs, sandals and flip-flops are not permitted because they pose a safety hazard for your little angel’s feet.

Did You Remember?…..

To bring your child’s “Rollie Pollie” for nap time and a Ziplock bag (gallon size - child’s name labeled on bag) with a complete change of clothing?

Hot Lunches

We are excited this year to be offering a new lunch program called Cater Tots. We have decided to offer this to you for your benefit, it seemed that it appealed to many of you.  The cost of the meal is $4.25 per lunch.  As long as this program is being utilized and meeting their minimum for delivery to our school we will be able to continue to offer this as an option.  If you are interested in this program, we encourage you to check out their website at www.catertots.com .  Ordering is as easy and can be done at their website.  You can plan out your weeks as you like and the food will be delivered to your child during the lunch hour.
